Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics 

Following my mom’s footsteps, I began my journey in education in 2019 with Duncanville ISD, where I taught 7th grade PreAP & oversaw the Math Lab at Kennemer Middle School. I then moved to Miami with my husband and taught Algebra Honors and PreAlgebra in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. 

No matter what city I’m in, my mission is to create engaging experiences in mathematics that centers around black children, something that is not often done within the classroom. Placing black students back at the center of their learning has proven to increase their test scores and their confidence. I specialize in grades 6-12 and SAT/ACT Math. Topics I tutor include, but are not limited to:
